Fete De Noel is Back!

Paristown’s ice skating rink is back for the second year! Fete de Noel is located outside in the heart of historic Paristown. Ice skating is $13 per hour with skate rental included or $10 an hour if you bring your own skates. You will hear Christmas music playing in the background to immerse you in the winter wonderland that is Fete De Noel.

On the weekends they even have Christmas movies playing on the large projector on the wall of the Old Forester’s Paristown’s music hall! Although it was quite chilly when we went, we were able to warm up with some hot chocolate and snack options from some of the local vendors! This winter experience will be open until January 3rd.

As many of you all know, historic paristown has undergone some massive changes in the last few years. We met with the Director of business development and got a tour of the space and she discussed some of the challenges they’ve faced and how they plan to move forward through covid.

“Our redevelopment plan of historic paristown revolves around bringing the community together, we have some really amazing retail shops and restaurants moving in, as well as lots of small rotating local businesses that are able to utilize this space. The Café, our main restaurant here is in the process of switching over to to-go orders only, but it has been pretty slow here. For now we are working tirelessly to make sure the space is as safe as possible.” – Jeanne Hilt | Paristown, Director of Business Development

It was nice to see people out and about enjoying themselves, safely. Purchasing a ticket was touchless. Everyone was wearing a mask who was skating. Paristown made sure there was a limited amount of people skating at a time and they even made sure to sanitize skates after each use.

If you’re looking to get out of the house and enjoy yourself, safely, we recommend stopping by and skating. After all, we have to burn off all that turkey we ate and or burn some calories to justify all the christmas cookies we WILL be eating. 😉
