Louisville artist Constanza Granados celebrated her first gallery opening at the Hotel Louisville on January 5th 2018. The gallery featured several of Constanza Granados favorite pieces from her portfolio and was the first time the artist has offered her pieces for sale. Granados, a native of Colombia moved to Louisville three years ago and brought her unique artistic style to the vibrant art scene of the city. Granados lack of classical training is reflected in her vibrant and varied personal style that makes each painting a singular world of its own. Yet as diverse as her works are there are still underlying themes of hope, maternity and spontaneity reflected in the collection. Granados draws her inspiration from the pedestrian, the everyday, the natural and pulls forward the dynamic qualities most take for granted. The most important sources of creativity for her however are her four sons. Many of her works feature the names and characteristics of her children incorporated into the designs
In her free time Granados volunteers her time to the La Casita Center to help bring smiles’ to the clients faces. She seeks to facilitate the centers mission of bridging the gap between immigrants and their new communities. Granados has painted several murals throughout the center.
